In the past few years of learning from inspiring educators, I have come to deeply understand how bigger isn't better, flashier isn't brighter, and earlier isn't smarter.

Being "faster" than the other toddlers doesn't necessarily make a winner.

You know what does?

Building a sense of self-worth, of confidence in one's competence, and having an emerging sense of social responsibility...

All rooted in the knowledge that the child is loved, accepted, and celebrated-- whether or not s/he "won" first place.

The development of a human being is a life-long marathon, not a three-year sprint. Let's help children journey through life with joy and tenacity.

Together, we can redirect the course we are on.

Have a good evening, everyone ❤️
